Pop Culture Phenom

Pop Culture Phenom

The Pop Culture Phenom that has literally brought new meaning to the word, sandwich is “Not Okay,” according to Christine Byrne on the BuzzFeed Staff.  I completely agree with her!  Where is the classic PB&J?  Somehow it has been relegated to antiquity due to allergies in the Classroom and Fast-food Junk Food now offered as school lunches.  But, not only that, imagination has reached new heights. I mean, really?

Check out the following link to see that the classic Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich no longer exists; and that bread is the new culprit the weight-loss gurus are blaming.  The little brown bag has virtually disappeared also, replaced with colorful new-fangled BPA containers.  That’s not so bad, but what the little brown bag used to contain has me worried – I’m just not over a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, with a big glass of cold milk – no matter my age or the cultural evolution that has taken place with the The Word “Sandwich.”
