Professor Robert Park (1864-1944) was an American urban sociologist, credited with coining the term Human Ecologythe study of the relationship between humans and their natural, social, and built environments; a genre of study credited to Robert Ezra Park, an American urban sociologist.. He was well known for his work with ethnic minorities, and African Americans. He was one of the founders of the Chicago School of Sociology. He worked with Booker T. Washington at the Tuskegee Institute and taught at the University of Chicago from 1914-1933.
