Professor Robert Park (1864-1944) was an American urban sociologist, credited with coining the term Human Ecology.  He was well known for his work with ethnic minorities, and African Americans.  He was one of the founders of the Chicago School of Sociology. He worked with Booker T. Washington at the Tuskegee Institute and taught at the University of Chicago from 1914-1933.
