Professor Robert Park (1864-1944) was an American urban sociologist, credited with coining the term Human Ecologythe study of the relationship between humans and their natural, social, and built environments; a genre of study credited to Robert Ezra Park, an American urban sociologist.. Â He was well known for his work with ethnic minorities, and African Americans. Â He was one of the founders of the Chicago School of Sociology. He worked with Booker T. Washington at the Tuskegee Institute and taught at the University of Chicago from 1914-1933.
