A fielda place where on location research is conducted; also known as fieldwork, or participant observation on various sites of anthropologythe holistic study of humanity in its broadest context in all times and places, ancient and contemporary which focuses on the cultural beliefs pertaining to health, illness and what may determine overall wellness. Health and wellness beliefs are influenced by cultural aspects such as religionbelief in and reverence for a supernatural power or powers regarded as creator and governor of the universe; a personal or institutionalized system grounded in such belief and worship; a set of beliefs, values, and practices based on the teachings of a spiritual leader, politics, and the history of diseases and their causes. The three intersections of cultureculture is not genetically inherited, it is shared, learned, and dynamic- never static, health and wellness is what Medical Anthropologists study and research.
