Beyond Names and Dates
Course Two
Search for Meaning
If you have wanted your ancestors to come to life, this course is meant for you. It can help you unlock the past through better research. In other words, this course invites you to look within the realm and era your ancestors lived in.
Your ancestors had a life. They did not live in a vacuum. They had hopes and dreams, struggles and disappointments. They lived through wars, cultural upheavals, and catastrophic weather events like hurricanes, snowstorms, and heat waves. However, searching for meaning is not about learning what ancestors did for survival, like finding foodany nutritious substance that people or animals eat or drink, or that plants absorb, in order to maintain life and growth and getting shelter.
A search for meaning is about relationships, values, beliefs, occupations, personal development, and education. Your search for meaning might also include looking for talents, entertainment, and spirituality. This course is about delving deeper to find all kinds of possibilities your ancestors may have reached for during their lifetime. Study the PowerPoint below to understand the numerous potentials for meaning in every person’s life.
