Acjachemen Indigenous Culture

I have worked with Jacque Nunez, a member of the Acjachemen  Indigenous Culture and tribe of San Juan Capistrano, California for many years.  At Mission San Juan Capistrano we worked together creating Acjachemen Indigenous Culture studies through exhibits, basket-making, teacher seminars, and her own Journeys to the Past programs.

For more cultural information on the 21 California Missions, where Native indigenous peoples, in California, were introduced to European colonialism through the Spanish/Catholic Mission system in the 18th and 19th centuries, please follow the link below.  Jacque takes you on a tour of each California Mission.  Then return here to Explore More! in Cultural Anthropology and learn about the many Global Villages and the people who live in them.
